Website biography and record label

Website biography. There is a large biography about the band on the official website, it talks about the success the band had with the last album ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’. Their 2008 debut album that nearly sold 2 million copies worldwide. Also the website gives information about the stadium shows they have performed at, with their music heroes such as; U2, Take That and Paul McCartney, which gave them opportunities to play in front of a wide age and gender range. They also played a triumphant homecoming set at Ireland’s Oxegen festival before 78,000 fans and won Best Live Performance at the 2010 Meteor Awards. They also talk about the struggles back in their hometown in Ireland of friends and just generally the common people not being able to support their families and struggling to find real jobs, in which they go on to say inspires them to write music about the situation, which ultimately goes on to relate to millions of people worldwide? Also talk about musical genres that have influenced the band such as pop, rock, hip hop and soul which is also a clever way to reach out to a wide range of people. I don’t think they target a specific audience the way they are promoted through touring etc, I think they try to hit such a wide range of people that it is difficult to pin point one Specific target audience.
